Our teachers love what they do and are professional music teachers! All have college music training and years of professional performing experience. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons. The South Kansas City Music Academy has a proven track record of offering quality music, piano, guitar, voice, singing and drum lessons in Kansas City, year round. Our full time mission is teaching music lessons, trusted by hundreds of families for over 10 years.

Instead of waiting in a music retail store showroom, our clients enjoy a spacious, professional parents’ lounge with comfortable chairs and Wi-Fi. We also provide observation windows on every door so that you can watch your child’s lesson while you wait. Or if you prefer, you can sit in on their lesson anytime you like.
5. Free music recitals and concerts offered twice a year, with NO participation fees!
In the Spring and Fall, all of our students have the opportunity to perform in our bi-annual recitals. For our students these recitals are free and, unlike many schools, we do not charge recital participation or admission fees–invite all your friends and family to cheer you on! Recitals are fun, low-pressure events to celebrate what students have learned and have a chance to play in front of an audience!
6. Convenient location right off I-435 Highway, West of the Grandview Triangle.
Due to its central location, our school is convenient to all areas of Kansas City–we have students from Kansas City, Lee’s Summit, Leawood, Overland Park, Shawnee Mission, Raytown, Grandview, Independence, and more! South Kansas City Music Academy rents our excellent teaching space from Evangel Church, which is at 1414 E 103rd Street, Kansas City, MO, immediately accessible from Interstate 435.
7. Month-to-Month lessons
The Academy does not require semester minimums for lessons. Every student here is on a month-to-month basis, and with rolling admission, you can start at anytime!

8. Balancing fun with growth
Learning music is FUN, and it can be challenging. We strive to make sure students are growing and having fun at the same time. We believe learning music offers many life-long benefits–confidence, discipline, and creativity just to name a few. We love seeing our students grow in all these areas! Our teachers strive to make sure students are learning and enjoying their musical journey in lessons and at home.
9. Clean, spacious teaching space
Students enjoy clean, spacious classrooms for their music lessons. We rent classrooms at Evangel Church, 1414 E 103rd St. Kansas City, Missouri. Evangel has excellent facilities and you’ll enjoy the well-kept building.
10. Rock Band Groups for students to play with others
We offer coached bands for elementary to high school aged students who are ready to jam with others! These groups are fun, wonderful places to grow and learn how to play with other musicians. Students learn how to choose songs, rehearse as a band, work on stage presence, and experience the joy of sharing music each week with other students their age.

Because we only offer lessons on a month-to-month basis, there are no large upfront payments, no complicated contracts, no annual material or performance fees, and no semester minimums.

Pricing
$30/30 minutes
Lessons are available Mondays and Tuesdays, and scheduled once a week.
A one-time registration fee of $25 is due at time of registration.
