If you’ve always wanted to hone your skills as a singer, South Kansas City Music Academy has the voice teacher for you. Our voice faculty teaches rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel, R&B, and classical vocal styles. Each week, students are led through physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, enunciation and more. Our teachers help each student set personal goals, often to develop their own unique voice, to learn their favorite songs, and preparing for performances and auditions.

How qualified are South Kansas City Music Academy’s voice instructors?
Our voice teachers have received their education from excellent universities such as the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music, North Central University, and Ottawa University. Our teachers bring a wealth of teaching and performing experience to their lessons. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly and get to know each student on a personal level.
What will I learn in voice lessons at South Kansas City Music Academy?
Voice students spend time each week working on vocal range, pitch, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and learning songs. If desired, students can also work on stage presence techniques.
Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Beginners are welcome!
Are there student recitals?
Absolutely! Every Spring and Fall, our students have the opportunity to perform on stage for family and friends. Unlike most of our competitors, we do not charge students a fee to perform and admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.

Because we only offer lessons on a month-to-month basis, there are no large upfront payments, no complicated contracts, no annual material or performance fees, and no semester minimums.

Pricing
$30/30 minutes
Lessons are available Mondays and Tuesdays, and scheduled once a week.
A one-time registration fee of $25 is due at time of registration.
